Title:
[snap] missing --temp-profile option
Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
I've just upgraded to Eoan, and was forced to install the Chromium
snap package. Unfortunately it appears that the new launcher script
(I'm assuming it's the one in
/snap/chromium/current/bin/chromium.launcher) no longer contains the
--temp-profile option. This was my *primary* use of this browser. It
was extremely convenient for quickly firing up a new, clean profile
every time for web development, privacy, etc.
Incidentally, using --temp-profile, Chromium opened almost
instantaneously. Now with this snap package, chromium takes a good
10-15 seconds to open. That is just ridiculous.
Obviously I can write a script to do this myself, but that's not the
point. This functionality should not have been removed in the
transition to the snap distribution. Please restore this ability in
the snap launcher.
