Title:
Nvidia Driver 340.107 Build Stalls at 100% (No Crash) for Linux Kernel
  5.4.0-rc3 - [FIXED]

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-340 package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
When building Nvidia Driver 340.107 for Linux Kernel 5.4.0-rc3, the
compile permanently stalls on "Building NVIDIA kernel module" at 100%,
but does not crash or proceed any further.

NOTE: I used the Nvidia binary blob file (after all Ubuntu patches
were applied) with a custom built Linux Kernel 5.4.0-rc3.

  nvidia-installer.log file is attached.
