I can't seem to reproduce the problem just yet (using 20.04 with Intel
graphics).
My first two ideas are:
* Maybe this is related to Terminal's broken transparency (bug 561370)
* Maybe it's Nvidia-specific.
That log message "Not using GLX TFP" is from the mutter compositor code.
It means the driver has decided to not use GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap
which may or may not be related to this bug.

Bug description:
I like some things like terminal to be fullscreen (F11). I've noticed
that whenever I look at what apps are running by tapping the Super key
and then go to any app that is in fullscreen mode (by either hit the
Super key again to give focus back to the app OR click the app I'd
like to focus on), there is a flash of the background. This is 100%
reproducible for me.
