Title: eog causes X to crash Status in “eog” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I can reproduce this relatively easily. I simply open eog and view a series of JPG images. It usually only takes 4 or 5 before X crashes and I have to log in again. Occasionally the machine will hang and I will have to power-cycle it to recover. I did notice that in /var/log/Xorg.0.log the last line is: [ 132.102] [mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.
