Title:
"get help online" doesn't use default browser-options

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

Clicking Help->Get online help opens a new window in Firefox despite a
  running instance of firefox.

to reproduce you must have these settings:
  1: system>preferences>preferred applications>open link with web browser
default
2:(in firefox)Edit>preferences>Tabs>open new windows in tab instead.

so the second setting sets the "web browser default" as opening a new
tab, so via the first setting pressing get help online should open a
  new tab.
