It's fine that your apport'ing under libreoffice instead of libreoffice- impress. I would expect the kerning to remain correct when the presentation is shown. What actually happens is that the kerning settings are not applied, leading to very ugly typography. I've not noticed this problem in the past, so I think it may be a regression.
