Title:
  No microphone

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
In the default setup the external microphone is not working. It is
possible to get the microphone working by editing /etc/modprobe.d
  /alsa-base.conf

  and add this line:

  options snd-hda-intel model=medion

but then there is no jack sense anymore and sound will go through the
speakers, making it impossible to use this laptop for skype in a
  public place.

I tried a lot of different options in alsa-base.conf, but it was
either no jack sense or no microphone:

jack sense but no mic -> options snd-hda-intel model=laptop
no jack sense but mic -> options snd-hda-intel model=auto
no jack sense but mic -> options snd-hda-intel model=3stack-dig
no jack sense but mic -> options snd-hda-intel model=3stack-6ch
no jack sense but mic -> options snd-hda-intel model=3stack-6ch-dig
jack sense no mic -> options snd-hda-intel model=6stack-dig-demo
no jack sense but mic -> options snd-hda-intel model=acer
no jack sense but mic -> options snd-hda-intel model=acer-aspire
jack sense no mic -> options snd-hda-intel model=eapd
