[Realtek ALC888] Speakers not working on Ubuntu 10.10

Bug description:
When selecting output in the Sound Preferences, the Connector allows
me to select Analog Output and Headphones, neither of which works.
Sound works fine with Headphones, just not with the laptops internal
speakers.
Laptop: Acer Aspire 7730G

I also tried all devices for sound output, none worked.
