Title:
Gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock not run in the absence of a display
Status in gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Ubuntu 18.04.3, GeForce GTX 750, Nvidia proprietary driver v390
gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock - 0.9.1ubuntu18.04.3
I need the graphical environment to start without a monitor. This is
necessary for testing applications.
For this, I have created a configuration
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-nvidia.conf:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Configured Monitor"
HorizSync 5.0 - 1000.0
VertRefresh 5.0 - 200.0
ModeLine "1920x1080" 148.50 1920 2448 2492 2640 1080 1084 1089 1125
+Hsync +Vsync
EndSection
Section "OutputClass"
Identifier "nvidia"
MatchDriver "nvidia-drm"
Driver "nvidia"
Option "AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/nvidia/xorg"
EndSection
Section "Device"
Identifier "Idek Iiyama"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP-0"
EndSection
If I turn off and turn on the computer without a connected display, then I
will get a standard Gnome3 without ubuntu-dock
When booting the system, I get an error:
