I am testing them with the fast xanmod kernel 5.6.4 and at the moment they seem to be working flawlessly,so I suppose they work with official kernels too. I think a not so small of Ubuntu community that still has a legacy card should be grateful for your work. Archlinux already has a driver for Kernel 5.6 via AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nvidia-340xx/) and Debian SID has one for kernel 5.5.
