Yep, I came across the same reports this morning before checking here. I
can confirm from yesterday that GNOME Web (epiphany-browser) also
demonstrates the misplacement. Here's a test page:

  20.04 - Software Boutique - No Filter drop-down placement

Bug description:
  Open the Software Boutique and click on 'Sound and Video' and then
  click on the drop-down curently set to 'No Filter'.

  Expected result:  menu of options opens immediately below.

  Actual result:  menu for filters appears way off to the right, and
  below, outside of the application window.

  I have confirmed that it affects more than 1 person.

  Ubuntu-MATE RC1 installed and updated from daily since start of Alpha
  test (clean install at that time).
