Public bug reported:

When opening folders, the shell creates many ghost pages (demo attached
in webm format). Clicking on the page 'dots' doesn't do anything for the
ghost pages.

Disabling remember-app-usage solves this bug, because it removes the
Frequents/All apps tab at the bottom of the application menu that seems
to be 'clashing' with the folder display.

Display resolution is 1366x768 on a 14 inch laptop display. Laptop is
the HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-ba0xx using Intel HD Graphics 620.

This bug did not occur under GNOME 3.34 on Ubuntu 19.10, where this
current install was upgraded from. This also occurs on fresh
installations of Ubuntu 20.04.

Moreover, while not possibly directly related to this issue, the app
running dots below the app names don't have enough padding and clash
with the text (screenshot attached).
