Microphone does not work on Acer Aspire 6530G

Bug description:
My computer has a Realtek ALC888 in it. Microphone does not work with any
basic configuration; e.g. time in sound recorder just speeds up when recording
and no sound is picked up. Other Acer models also have this problem.
