[Cirrus Logic CS4206] On login, digital optic audio output is turned
on (visible laser), and the front speakers and surround speakers
(built-in) are muted.

When a user logs into the computer, the IEC958 output is enabled, and
the Front Speaker and Surround are both muted. No sound functions
until the mixer is adjusted.
