Title:
[NFORCE - NVidia CK8S, playback] Playback problem
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Stereo audio playback works fine through pulseaudio, but 5.1 sound
does not work. In 5.1 mode, the test sound does following:
front left: crackling sound from center and rear left
center: crackling sound from center and rear left
front right: crackling sound from subwoofer and rear right
rear left: crackling sound from center and rear left
subwoofer: crackling sound from subwoofer and rear right
rear right: crackling sound from subwoofer and rear right
It sound like the audio comes sliced and the slices are played
alternated on the mentioned speakers. Example: The test sound for
front left is played. The first slice comes out of the center speaker,
the second slice comes out of the rear left speaker, the third comes
out of the center, the fourth out of the rear left, and so on.
