Title:
USB sound card volume buttons affect master volume

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I have a USB soundcard, which has three buttons for volume control: volume
up, volume down and mute. I believe these buttons should control output volume
of this soundcard, but in Ubuntu they affect the master volume. This ruins the
whole idea of having USB sound card. E.g., when using Skype, I want to set the
volume only for my headphones, not for the rest of the system.
Windows does not have this bug, as I can set the volume of my primary sound
card and the USB soundcard independently.
