After upgrade to utopic sound does not work. dmesg messages follow:

Have searched posts on
snd_hda_intel ..... no AFG or MFG node found
and
snd_hda_intel ..... no codecs initialized
tried the usual modprobe -r snd_hda_intel and modprobe snd_hda_intel
also installed nvidia-current
