Title:
Syslog messages declaring a bg in snd_emu10k1

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Running an Alienware system on (I believe) the internal audio.
Chasing after a repeated interface crash (pointer visible and moving,
but no response to input), I turned up the following in syslog:

Aug 20 06:47:53 goblin pulseaudio[15844]: alsa-sink.c: ALSA woke us up to
write new data to the device, but there was actually nothing to write!
  Aug 20 06:47:53 goblin pulseaudio[15844]: alsa-sink.c: Most likely this is a
bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_emu10k1'. Please report this issue to the ALSA
developers.
Aug 20 06:47:53 goblin pulseaudio[15844]: alsa-sink.c: We were woken up with
POLLOUT set -- however a subsequent snd_pcm_avail() returned 0 or another value
< min_avail.
