No sound after 12.10 upgrade
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Sound was not working in 12.04 as well after few updates. Have gone through
the FAQ and tried all the sound trouble shooting.
I upgraded to 12.10 thinking all the issues will be solved.
You might find that some of the files have been edited. Also let me know how
this can be stored as default.
Very new to the Linux world.
System is HP Pavillion dv6.. with Intel HD sound driver.
Please let me know if yu need any more information to resolve this issue.
