Title:
ALsa-dkms failed to compile in 12.04.2 does not detect the hdmi side
of the intel audio. works fine on 10.04
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I now have the ability to test this system (external drive), so I
effectively have the production 10.04 and the testing 12.04.2 version
for playing.
ALsa-dkms failed to compile, but not sure if that's the right
solution.
Looking for what I can provide to fix this.
