Title:
After monitor stand-by, Displayport audio is dead until monitor is
"restarted"
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
This is a terrible bug:
I have my speakers attached to my monitor, so sound is played via
Displayport audio. No problem at all.
BUT: My monitor goes to sleep after 10 minutes or so. When it's woken
up again, no sound whatsoever is played back any more. Going to audio
settings still shows Displayport/HDMI audio selected.
When I switch my monitor OFF and ON again, sound is back.
