Title:
Sound settings do not show any hardware
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
In my Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS on a Fujitsu Lifebook E8020 I have repeated problems
with my audio. After restart the situation changes sometimes.
At the moment the situation is as follows. When plugging a headphone into the
3.5mm jack the audio is sent to both the built-in speaker and the headphone.
When unplugging the headphone, audio only goes to the built-in speakers.
Normally it should be possible to switch between built-in and
headphone in the sound settings, but there the hardware appears empty.
So I cannot switch between anything.
I guess I'm using PulseAudio, but the ps command doesn't show any pulseaudio
process.
