Title:
Soundcard not detected after ALSA upgrade
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Not sure if any of the previously identified ALSA bugs cover this -- I've
read every one I can, and haven't made headway. I'm running Lucid on an HP
Mini 110, and I've got the standard headphones-but-no-speakers problem, but the
standard solutions aren't working. I've tried recompiling ALSA from source
(v1.0.19, v1.0.22, and v1.0.23, based on various suggestions in the forums).
No luck. I've tried using the PPA trick in Synaptic to get the latest
alsa-driver for my kernel (2.6.32.27-generic). Now my sound card isn't being
recognized at all. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andrew
