Title:
ASUS N53JG labtop plays sound with headphones but not with internal
speakers
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Using ubuntu 10.10
I added to the file
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
the lines
options snd-hda-intel model=auto
options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1
and worked (the speakers and headphones worked fine)
but then I installed the sun jdk manually by doing the steps found in
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/install-linux-64-self-extracting-142068.html
after doing this, the sound in the speakers stopped working again,
with headphones works fine
then installed the java plugin for firefox following the steps in
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/manual-plugin-install-
linux-136395.html
that's all i did
hope this info be useful for my problem
