  What should happen?
All the speaker and subwoofer should be muted when inserting the headphones

  What Happened istead?
When inserting the headphones the top speakers of the chassis are muted but
NOT the bottom subwoofer.

  Additional Info:
The laptop use a alc670 so i think that the acer 8943G suffer the same bug.
I'm experiencing this issue with an ubuntu 11.04 with proposal repositary
enabled and also with an Archlinux.
I'm motivated to do more for helping resolving this issue, i've checked the
alsa website and understand that maybe this can be solved with a quirk. I
checked through alsa-git repo if there's already a model name to be inserted in
the alsa.conf but no way.
