Bug description:
As part of debugging bug #1871687 I was asked to add a ppa and install
a new kernel. My system booted not into that kernel, but the older
original one shipping in Ubuntu.
Steps to reproduce
On a zfs/zsys enabled 20.04 system, add ppa:canonical-kernel-team/proposed
and update/upgrade.
As of today you'll get linux-image-5.4.0-29-generic
Reboot
Expected outcome
Boot to newer linux-image-5.4.0-29-generic kernel
Actual outcome
Booted to older stock kernel - 5.4.0-21-generic
