Thanks for your report. I can't reproduce, though. Wonder if your ~/.config/dconf/user file, where the setting should be saved, has been corrupted somehow. We can find out by doing this:
In terminal: cd ~/.config/dconf mv user user.bak Then set "Traditional" in Preferences, relogin, and let us know whether the initial input mode is now Traditional Chinese. ** Changed in: ibus-libpinyin (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to ibus-libpinyin in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1880396 Title: Traditional Chinese option not survived after reboot Status in ibus-libpinyin package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, ibus-libpinyin 1.11.1-3 expect: after changing from simplified chinese to traditional chinese, the setting should survive after reboot. phenomenon: option got reset to simplified chinese after reboot. using ibus pinyin input method, ticked 'Traditional' option for 'Chinese' label.
