Yes, software-center is what was used when Unity was the default desktop
environment. Moving to gnome-software (also known as ubuntu-software)
which is the default for Ubuntu 19.10.

not start without sudo
Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
To be able installing anything I have to run Ubuntu-software with sudo
from terminal.
sudo chown -Rh $USER:$USER ~/
not worked.
Also interesting: If I do not start with sudo. I'm able to login to
Ubutu-one but not to snap.
