Bug description:
[ Impact ]
Image thumbnails are not refreshed on file changes
[ Test case ]
1. Create a new image and save it in the desktop using your image editor
2. Change the image content and save
3. The image thumbnail in the desktop should reflect the changes
[ Regression potential ]
Icons updates (and so redraws) may increase even when there are no
actual changes to perform.
