I can confirm that the problem is related to the peaq-wmi module having been recently whitelisted as using modprobe to remove peaq-wmi fixes the problem. Workaround: Blacklist the peaq-wmi module I really think the peaq-wmi module should be re-blacklised by default until the bugs can be worked out.
