it's not a bug in file-roller, the default association is not defined by
individual softwares, please reverting the status there
@fossfreedem, the way the defaults.list work there needs to be one
default defined, if Ubuntu Budgie has a different applications selection
than Ubuntu then it should provide an override or customized default
list matching what is installed
** Changed in: file-roller (Ubuntu)

Title:
When clicking a .deb, file-roller gets launched ( instead of an
installer for .deb )
Status in file-roller package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Hi,
On Ubuntu 20.04 ( default flavor, and Budgie, maybe other else )
when clicking on a .deb it's file-roller that gets launched by
default, instead of an expected .deb installer ( be it through gnome-
software-local-file.desktop or any package-manager ).
