This seems to be very close to bug #1036489, but that one was active 8 years ago, and was marked as expired 6 years ago. Restarting the machine frees the media keys again. Steps to reproduce: 1. Verify that the media keys work (restart the machine if not) 2. close rhythmbox with right click on the taskbar icon, use "stop & quit" 3. reopen rhythmbox, the media keys do not work. 1. Verify that the media keys work (restart the machine if not) 2. End the 'rhythmbox' process 3. reopen rhythmbox, the media keys do not work. 1.
