Title:
Mozilla Firefox 78.x ESR Multiple Vulnerabilities
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Hi Ubuntu Team,
Ubuntu 18 is affected by the following vulnerabilities.
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Mozilla Firefox ESR,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing
attacks, disclose sensitive information, bypass certain security
restrictions, and compromise a vulnerable system.
Reference: https://www.mozilla.org/en-
US/security/advisories/mfsa2020-32
Solution: Update to version 78.1.
Further info: Please also note that also Firefox 68.x versions are
affected by some vulnerabilities (see https://www.mozilla.org/en-
US/security/advisories/mfsa2020-31/), but I do not know if they are
used in any version of Ubuntu.
Thanks in advance.
