Thank you for your bug report, disconnecting from an access point
doesn't seem destructive enough to require a confirmation but if you
want to suggest that behaviour change the right place would be upstream
on https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/issues

Title:
Visible Network list interface disconnects without user prompt upon
just clicking the netowrk name
Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Visible Network wifi list interface
Be connected to some wifi network
Click on any network name (reconnects if clicked on currently connected
network, and disconnects when clicked on some other network)
Current wifi connection disconnects. No prompt no nothing. Just
disconnects/reconnects.
It would be best to ask prior to disconnect. It would be good to
prompt whether user wants to initiate connection (and just then prompt
for password).
