Public bug reported:
ubuntu 20.04.01 clean install.
thanks in advance for your attention. polite comment, no yelling here. going
thru transfer and setup machine previous install ubuntu 16.04 when sound was
working.
lspci lists all sources. internal intel ada card not intialized. only option in
sound is hdmi. all worked before clean install.

01:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Cedar HDMI Audio
[Radeon HD 5400/6300/7300 Series]
same audio issue, settings and pavucontrol only see hdmi audio out and not
intel hda audio
older dell desktop with 4 years previous use ubuntu. audio worked on morning of
my fresh install ubuntu 20.04.01. oddly virtualbox install ubuntu 20.04 and
other dist same linux, but broke my base machine. base machine restart and
messing with pavucontrol allowed my to select appropriate settings to restore
audio after exit virutalbox session. all else works and i do not want to risk
all my transfer/setup trying to fix this one issue, as important as it may be
to me.
just politely adding my experience to thread in case future update may
address this issue.
