Title: the control center chokes on initial number in user name Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in unity-control-center package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: This is a follow-up from bug 1600638. Debian's adduser does not allow the initial character of a username to be a digit. It would be nice if (unity/gnome)-control-center could detect this and disallow it or recommend against it.
