I enabled -proposed and updated file-roller to version 3.36.3-0ubuntu1. As per the test case I verified that various local archives (.gz, .rar and .zip) could be unpacked and their contents read correctly.
I successfully added files to various archives using drag and drop and used command line utilities to check their new contents. Again using drag and drop I extracted those recently added files and checked that their contents were still readable and usable. ** Tags removed: verification-needed verification-needed-focal ** Tags added: verification-done verification-done-focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to file-roller in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1897170 Title: SRU the current 3.36.3 stable update Status in file-roller package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in file-roller source package in Focal: Fix Committed Bug description: * Impact That's the current GNOME stable update, including some fixes and translation updates https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/file-roller/-/blob/master/NEWS * Test case The update is part of GNOME stable updates https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates/GNOME Check that opening archives of different type still works correctly * Regression potential The update includes some fixes around drag and drop so that needs some extra testing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/1897170/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
