IMO it is perfectly visible as it is (20.04 + 20.10) We could make it orange, but this is something that we try to avoid, since the ubuntu orange has some "burning" character that can become annoying. Also the grey is a design change that we've successfully ported to upstream. If no one disagrees I will would like to close this here, as we do not plan to change this and we simply disagree that this is not visible enough.
