** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1900783 [snap] On Groovy, Chromium snap takes much longer to load the first time after reboot -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1901432 Title: Chromium takes 90 seconds to start after update to 20.10 Status in Ubuntu MATE: New Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: After update from 20.04 to 20.10 (RPI 4/4GB), Chromium takes about 90 seconds to open to my home page (for 20.04 was 2-3 seconds). I have tried removing and reinstalling, but that does not resolve the issue. Once my home page opens, chromium responds normally. The long delay only happens the first time after startup. If I close chromium and then reopen, it reopens immediately. The following is the relevant section from /var/log/syslog. As you can see from the timestamps, the whole process takes 1 minute 28 seconds and includes several appamor="DENIED" messages.
