How the ubuntu LTS releases, which are focused on stability and security fixes, 
are handled by the company canoncial is devastating.
It's okay that a open source community doesn't have the ressources, but ubuntu 
is made by a company. And this company makes me angry.

After 15 years with ubuntu with the same trouble I should search for
another linux distribution.

Bug description:
  Sadly in ubuntu even LTS distributions only hardly receiving
  security/bug fix updates

  The thunderbird package in 20.04 is out of date since a long time and
  has many security issues.

  Edit:
  Current Ubuntu 20.04 version is 68.10 from 2020-07-01
  Newest version is 78.5 from 2020-11-17
  List of security issues found in 68.10 which got fixed in 78.5 upstream.
