Well totem just needs to get the movie time, load subtitles, and seek to
the respective time. It works when you do it manually.

  Currently in totem, whenever you load a subtitle from a file, the
  movie restarts. In every other movie player that I tried, movie
  continues to play without any interception. That should be the case
  for totem too.
