Thanks for the report Chris. Those are in fact two separate bugs.
Let's use this bug report to track the problem with the spacebar not
consistently pausing youtube videos in firefox. I've just tested this in a
clean and up-to-date 20.04 virtual machine, and it works as expected for me.
I wonder if you're pressing the key for too long, which would trigger two
keyboard events to be sent to the application? What happens when you press the
spacebar with a text field in focus (for instance the address bar in firefox),
how many spaces are inserted?
Could you please run the following command in a terminal, this will
attach useful debugging information to this bug report?

Google Chrome isn't available in the Ubuntu repositories, but Chromium,
its fully open-source counterpart, is. So you can try installing this,
or browse to chrome.com to download chrome from Google.

Bug description:
Hi Everyone.
I'm currently running Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS (Focal Fossa), I'm new of
Ubuntu and learning how to use it.
I watched YouTube about "Ubuntu tutorial" on Firefox browser, When I
press keyboard space to pause the video on YouTube website, it turn to
pause then come back to play by itself very quick at about
millisecond. Firefox has bug of keyboard control.
When Firefox has bug, so I decide to download google chrome from
Ubuntu Software Center and I typing "Google Chrome" on search bar,
then it's loading take long times to pop up but nothing happen.
I hope Ubuntu Forum give me some advice to fix issues and I'm hope
Ubuntu Developer going to solve Ubuntu's bug.
