Bug description:
  Ubuntu 21.04: Start simple-scan, click on 'scan' I have a message 'Failed to 
scan - Unable to connect scanner'
  debug log says 'SANE_STATUS_NO_MEM'
  Same scanner works fine on Ubuntu 20.10
