Public bug reported: Thunderbird in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS was just upgraded to 78.7.1. Unfortunately, that version has a bug which renders Tasks unusable for those of us who depend on recurring tasks. Completed tasks keep coming back to life on restart of Thunderbird. This results in incessant reminders for tasks that were completed months and months ago.
