Public bug reported:

System sound no longer working. Checked my hardware by loading TAILS on a USB
stick. Sound works perfectly. So nothing wrong with my hardware. System
20.04.2LTS was working perfectly until latest automatic update. Noticed that in
settings the sound screen has changed in layout. Tried various settings options
but unable to recover sound.
settings= output device = Line Out Built-in Audio
configuration = Analogue Surround 5.1 Output
Used to have 7.1 but this now gone.
system pretty unusable without any sound.
