Daniel, on Feb 2 I have changed to "Ubuntu on Wayland" at login as you
suggested and up till now I have had no issues with freezing.
But yesterday after few months I needed to record my screen and found
out that SimpleScreenRecorder program does not capture video if wayland
is used, so I switched back to X session selecting "Ubuntu" session at
login recorded screen. Today I have just forgotten to changed back to
wayland. And the result? Today using X session and Ubuntu freezed and
the only way to get it back was hard reset. So your theory of my problem
being related to "X session" on my laptop may have some true in it.
I just wanted to inform you about this. I am switching back to wayland
now.
