Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better!
Just a few questions to help identify the environment where the issue occurs: 1. Are you testing this on phyical hardware or in a VM? I ask because I have x11 on my 21.04 host and testing in a 21.04 vm with wayland and I do not see the problem. 2. Is this a fresh install? 3. You say the icon is the grey gear icon "before they change into their native icons on wayland". So does this mean that they do eventually change from the gear icon to the expected LO icon? When does this icon change occur? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1922432 Title: Libreoffice apps launches default gear icon under wayland Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Ubuntu 21.04 devel with kernel 5.11.0-13-generic up to date @ 3/4/2021 All libreoffice apps launches with default grey gear icons before they change into their native icons on wayland (see screenshot) on xorg it does not happen ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 21.04 Package: libreoffice (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.11.0-13.14-generic 5.11.7 Uname: Linux 5.11.0-13-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu61 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Sat Apr 3 16:16:00 2021 InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-04-03 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 21.04 "Hirsute Hippo" - Beta amd64 (20210403) SourcePackage: libreoffice UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1922432/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
