Title:
Cancelling an ongoing verification via Escape key doesn't work

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in gnome-shell source package in Focal:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  [ Impact ]

When an identification is in progress, we can't cancel the user
  verification via Escape key

  [ Test case ]

  - Start authenticating an user (using a wrong password may make this easier
to trigger)
  - Hit Escape
  - Authentication is cancelled and user can put PIN / password again

  [ Regression potential ]

Authentication fails even if it should not, user authentication may
lead to user to see the user lists under gdm when not expected.
