Had this problem over the last three versions of Ubuntu (currently 11.10). Had been using gnome-baker instead, but gnome-baker is not longer available on 11.10. Tried the switching of temp directories mentioned by ljsilver23 above. Did not work for me. Certainly low priority as XfBurn seems to not have this problem.
