The patch lives in
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/cheese/-/merge_requests/17 it's merged on
Sep 21 2020.
However, it does not exist in cheese-3.34.0 nor cheese deb 3.38.0-3 in
debian/unstable.
To really fix it, the first step is to land this change in debian.
